Project overview

The TikTok Shop commerce ecosystem connects sellers, products, and creators who promote merchandise through short videos, showcases, and LIVE content. Creator Agency Partners (CAPs) manage contracted creators and provide operational services, while TikTok Shop Affiliate Partners (TAPs) connect with creators through more flexible product-promotion collaborations.

TikTok Shop Partner Center (TTSPC) is the Web management platform agencies use to manage creator partnerships, product promotion, commission sharing, and related business workflows.

Scope and ownership

I worked on the agency business frontend from November 2024 through August 2025, with primary responsibility for forms, table filtering, permission controls, and core page interactions. The platform used React, TypeScript, and React Context, together with an internal Arco Design-based component library and ByteDance’s internal frontend development and deployment infrastructure.

Two representative features from this work were LIVE Commission and Creator Lead Management. LIVE Commission extended an existing product area, while I independently owned the frontend delivery of Creator Lead Management from requirements follow-up through implementation and launch.

LIVE Commission

LIVE Commission was developed in December 2024 and launched first in the US in January 2025. It allowed CAP agencies to establish LIVE-specific commission agreements with linked creators while managing separate revenue-sharing rules for short video, showcase, and LIVE content.

The frontend supported agreement creation and adjustment, creator acceptance states, history review, and commission outcomes while integrating with existing creator-linking workflows. The primary challenge was turning combinations of content-type and regional rules into a clear, maintainable user flow.

Creator Lead Management

Creator Lead Management was developed from February through March 2025 and launched in the US at the end of March. I independently owned its frontend delivery from requirements follow-up through implementation, integration, and launch.

Agencies could acquire prospective creator leads through promotion codes, review authorized creator profiles and recent LIVE performance, and move collaborations forward through search, filters, status tags, notes, messaging, and linking invitations. The feature consolidated creator acquisition, evaluation, and follow-up into one workflow.

Region-aware business rules

One agency account could manage multiple countries or regions, so the frontend needed to load business rules for the market currently selected by the user. I created a dedicated region-management layer that selected the US, EU, or South America workflow at runtime.

Shared data handling and interaction logic lived in a common layer, while market-specific creator-linking models, permissions, and business branches remained isolated in regional modules. This reduced duplication and prevented regional conditions from spreading across page components. I directly delivered the US launches; EU and South America adaptations continued with other engineers after handoff.

Outcome

Both features launched first in the US. LIVE Commission was adopted by approximately *** agencies, representing approximately **% of US agencies. Within seven days of launch, Creator Lead Management provided approximately ***** creator leads to dozens of leading agencies, supported approximately **** new creator-agency links, and recorded a **% conversion rate.

The exact figures are redacted for confidentiality. This case study makes no additional claims about revenue, GMV, long-term adoption, or post-handoff regional delivery.
